His parents may not be the most commendable individuals and, yes, they are reprehensible for their insistence on blood purity and segregation in our community. But the child didn't ask to be borne into such a family. He didn't ask to be given such parents, or to be caught in the middle of a spar of ideologies. I know that some of you have lost loved ones in this War and I'm not here to uphold a double standard. Given a chance, I would have berated them for dragging civilians into this mess as well.
